The UPAA Toronto held its annual dinner dance last Saturday, November 9, 2004 at the Dufferin Clark Community Centre.

Proceeds from the affair went to the Association’s Scholarship Fund. This project was launched in October of last year with Dr. Mario Andres and Dr. Victoria Santiago, as co-chairs. When the endowment program is in place, the interest earned annually will be able to fully support a student through his/her undergraduate course at UP.

One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of pins to donors. The contributions had come from alumni as well as friends of UPAA who were interested in the creation of a self sustaining scholarship fund.

All donations to the fund were very much appreciated.
