The Golf Committee has started the cog wheels rolling to start two successive golf seasons, 2010 and 2011, with tournaments that are aimed at raising funds for UPAA Toronto's Endowment and Scholarship Funds.  Dates are set for May 30, 2010 and May 29, 2011.

 UPAA Toronto is recognized as a catalyst among Filipino expatriates groups for raising the standard of higher education in the Philippines through Grants and Scholarship programs

THE MISSION

• Help the University of the Philippines keep and maintain the best teaching staff
• Extend the benefits of quality tertiary education to poor but deserving students

THE OBJECTIVES

• To increase funding for UPAA Toronto Endowment and Scholarship Funds
• To raise one million pesos by June 2011

This project was conceived by President Joe Zagala and presented during the planning session last May 2009.  The Council approved it as a project in its June meeting. Jess Perucho heads the committee as chairperson.  This project falls under External Relations Group under Malou Parcero.  Gena Baldivia as Treasurer is involved in this project.
